Química Agronómica de México (QAM) was a global pioneer in the application of gentamicin sulfate as an agricultural bactericide, effectively preventing, containing, and combating bacterial diseases in crops. This breakthrough positioned us as a leader in agricultural biotechnology innovation, strengthening our presence in the national and international sector. The development of this innovative bactericide has been recognized with important awards, including the Chihuahua Prize in Biology and the National Award for Technological Merit, granted by the National Finance Corporation (Nacional Financiera), the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), and the Government of the State of Morelos.
